Incoming Fellow named on 40 under 40 MBA professors

Exeter will be pleased to welcome Professor of Management Science Kejia Hu as an incoming College Fellow this September. In advance of her new position, she was named one of the “40-Under-40 MBA Professors” by Poets & Quants, a media outlet dedicated to global business school news.

Kejia Hu is currently an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. She will soon take up the post of Professor of Management Science at Oxford’s Saïd Business School. Her research centres on unlocking business value from data, with domain expertise in service operations, artificial intelligence, and business analytics. Her work has been recognised with Best Paper awards from INFORMS, POMS, and MSOM, and her case study on Jointown Pharmaceutical Group is among the top 100 MBA case studies in China.

When asked what she thinks makes her stand out as a professor, Kejia Hu responded, “My dedication to continuous improvement, engaging and motivating students effectively, emphasising practical applications of course concepts, and utilising an organised, structured approach to make the material relevant and interesting.”

Exeter congratulates Professor Hu on her extraordinary achievement!
