John Ford’s “Love’s Sacrifice” to be performed by RSC

Exonian John Ford’s rarely performed play “Love’s Sacrifice” can be seen in Stratford-upon-Avon until 24 June in a production by the Royal Shakespeare Company.

The play is showing at the Swan Theatre, directed by Matthew Dunster and starring Matthew Needham, Catrin Stewart, Jamie Thomas King, and Beth Cordingly.

John Ford studied at Exeter College at the start of the 17th century and gives his name to the College’s student drama society which boasts Richard Burton among its former members.
