Michael Frankl (1972, Modern Languages) into semi-final of Brain of Britain

Exeter alumnus Michael Frankl (1972, Modern Languages) has made it through to the semi-final of BBC Radio 4’s Brain of Britain. He narrowly won his heat in March and will now compete for a place in the final. His semi-final will be broadcast on 8 May at 3 pm and will be repeated on Saturday, 13 May at 11 pm. It will also be available to listen to on the Radio 4 website for three months from Monday, 15 May.

Brain of Britain tests the general knowledge of contestants from across the UK and is extremely competitive. The prize for the ultimate winner is a silver salver and the title, Brain of Britain.

Mr Frankl is an enthusiast of quizzes. He has twice before entered Brain of Britain, in 2006 and in 2012, reaching the semi-final in 2012. He has also taken part in the BBC’s Mastermind and Channel 4’s Fifteen to One.
