Neil Blair Special Collections Reading Room formally opened

Neil Blair opens the Neil Blair Special Collections Reading Room

The new home of the College’s special collections library and archive was formally opened at Cohen Quad this week to celebrate and recognise the philanthropic leadership of Neil Blair (1986, Jurisprudence). The Neil Blair Special Collections Reading Room not only offers students an inspiring space in which to study rare and precious items from our collections, but also provides state-of-the-art storage facilities to ensure that these delicate and historic manuscripts are preserved for many more generations to enjoy.

Neil and his wife, Debra, were joined at the celebration by family and friends, who enjoyed a show and tell of special collection items led by Fellow Librarian, Dr Chris Fletcher, Librarian, Joanna Bowring, and Lecturer in Hebrew Professor Joanna Weinberg.

Neil wrote in a tweet after the event that he was ‘Really proud to open the Reading Room at Cohen Quad today with friends and family’.
