Nobel Prize winning economist speaks at Exeter College

Professor Krugman, who received the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2008, visited Exeter College on 18 May to discuss “What’s the Matter with Economists?”

Professor Krugman, who addressed a crammed Saskatchewan Room, argued that economics had taken a wrong turning in the 1970s and 1980s, and that too many economists were still fixated on inflation when they should be worrying about the example of Japan.
