Oxford University releases first Annual Admissions Statistics Report

Oxford University has today released its first Annual Admissions Statistics Report.

Oxford University has today released its first Annual Admissions Statistics Report. The report provides statistics for undergraduate admissions at University Level, as well as at individual College and Subject levels, along with data on the national context for Oxford’s data on UK Student Admissions.

The report identifies a number of areas where Exeter College is doing well in encouraging diversity. We have achieved equality in the gender balance of our undergraduate intake, offer rates between state and independent school applicants are equal, and we see an increase in the proportion of under-represented communities in our undergraduate population over time.

The report also identifies a number of areas where further progress is desirable, and the admissions statistics for 2018 will show further improvement.  Although our BAME admissions rose year on year 2015-2017, it is clear that we need to do more to attract candidates from those backgrounds. In order to ensure that Exeter College attracts the best and brightest applicants, we have committed to doubling our investment in outreach and access in the coming academic year. This will ensure that Exeter College continues to attract talented individuals from all backgrounds.
