Emma Semaan is the Junior Dean stationed at Exeter’s Cohen Quad. She is a DPhil Candidate in the Faculty of Law, working on digital privacy and technology regulation. She has been at Exeter since the start of her doctorate in 2023, and previously completed her MPhil at Mansfield College in Oxford.

As Junior Dean, her role in College is primarily to facilitate the welfare of Exeter students. She works closely with the College Welfare team, including the two other Junior Deans, the Sub-Rector, the Dean of Welfare, the College nurse, and Exeter’s Chaplain. Emma, like the other Junior Deans, is trained in peer support and First Aid, and can point students towards additional resources and assistance services of the College and University should they require it.

You can contact her for any questions, concerns, or even just to chat at juniordean.cohen@exeter.ox.ac.uk.
