Richard Celeste is an American politician. Born in Cleveland, Ohio he served as the state’s governor from 1983 to 1991. He is a member of the Democratic Party. From 1997 to 2001 he was the American Ambassador to India.
He attended Exeter College as a Rhodes Scholar.
Celeste became an honorary fellow of Exeter College in 2012.
