The Hon. Mr Justice Thomas Cromwell, BMus, LLB Queen’s, BCL Oxf, Hon. LL.D. (Queen’s, Dalhousie, Law Society of Upper Canada and Moncton)

Justice Cromwell sat on the Supreme Court of Canada from 2008 until his retirement in 2016. Prior to his appointment to the Supreme Court, he sat for eleven years on the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal.

Justice Cromwell was an active member of the Canadian Judicial Council’s working committee that prepared the publication entitled Ethical Principles for Judges as well as the Council’s working committee on Jury Charges and Education Committee.

He was made an Honorary Fellow of Exeter College in 2009.
