Professor Carolyn Evans appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Provost of the University of Melbourne

Professor Carolyn Evans (1995, Law) has been appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Provost of the University of Melbourne.

Professor Evans is Dean of the University of Melbourne Law School. She did her DPhil at Exeter after an undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne, and was subsequently a lecturer of the College. As Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Provost Professor Evans will have  special responsibility for graduate studies and for advancement.

In March 2017 Professor Evans gave a Rector’s Seminar at Exeter College on religious freedom and women’s rights.
