Professor Gregory Hutchinson appointed Regius Professor of Greek
Her Majesty the Queen has appointed Professor Gregory Hutchinson Regius Professor of Greek at the University of Oxford with effect from 1 October 2015. Professor Hutchinson is at present Fellow and Tutor in Classics at Exeter College and Professor of Greek and Latin Languages and Literature at Oxford University.
The Regius Professorship of Greek was created in the 16th century by Henry VIII. Professor Hutchinson will take over from Professor Christopher Pelling.
