Professorial recognition for two Exeter Fellows

Professors Martin Davy and Meghana Pandit

Exeter College warmly congratulates Professor Martin Davy and Professor Meghana Pandit, who have been awarded professorial titles through the University of Oxford’s 2026 Recognition of Distinction exercise.

Professor Davy, an Official Fellow and Tutor in Engineering Science at Exeter, has been appointed Professor of Engineering Science. His research focuses on internal combustion, alternative fuels and technologies that improve engine efficiency while reducing pollutant emissions.

Professor Pandit, a Supernumerary Fellow of Exeter, has been appointed Professor of Practice. She is Chief Executive Officer of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is currently serving as Co-National Medical Director – Secondary Care. Her career has combined clinical practice with senior leadership in healthcare, education and quality improvement.

The Rector, Dr Andrew Roe, described the appointments as “wonderful news and very richly deserved”, adding: “I am delighted that the Recognition of Distinction exercise has recognised Martin and Meghana’s outstanding contributions.”

The College congratulates Martin and Meghana on this richly deserved recognition of their work and achievements.
