Pudsey bear and BBC’s The One Show coming to Exeter College

BBC Children in Need’s Pudsey bear and The One Show will visit Exeter College as part of their fundraising efforts for 2013.

The One Show is undertaking its third Rickshaw Challenge: a 700-mile bicycling challenge around the UK to raise money for Children in Need. The One Show presenter Alex Jones and five teenagers who have benefited from projects funded by Children in Need are cycling around the clock to complete the challenge in just eight days. They are supported on their ride by Matt Baker, co-presenter of The One Show, and by Pudsey bear, the Children in Need mascot.

The rickshaw team is cycling from Abergavenny to Oxford on 14th November and using Exeter College as a base for its support team. On 15th November they will cycle from Oxford to BBC Elstree.

Speaking of the challenge, Alex Jones said: “This is going to be one of the toughest things I’ve ever done, and we will all have our work cut out for us. Cycling through the night will probably be the hardest part. Having supported the Rickshaw Challenge before, I know first-hand what a difference the public support can make, so please, please donate and, even better, come out to the streets to cheer us on!”
