Rector enters the home stretch of 192-mile walk

The Rector has now walked 130 miles of her 160-mile walk for charity. She has left Wiltshire, and is making her way through Oxfordshire, with tea in Exeter College’s gardens in sight.

The Rector’s boots have been severely tested in recent days, but have served her well!

Over the past few days, the Rector has passed along the Kennet and Avon canal, visiting the Caen Hill Locks, the Avebury Stones and Silbury Hill.

She will spend the next three days walking along the Ridgeway from Avebury to Sparsholt, before picking up the Thames Path in Abingdon on Thursday.

To date, she has raised over £11,000 for the Richard Sandbrook Scholarship.

The Rector has been spreading word of the College’s forthcoming 700th anniversary as she walks.
