Rector’s pilgrimage to Exonian war graves in the press

A recent trip to honour those Exonians who died in the First World War undertaken by Rector Cairncross and Exeter’s Chaplain, Andrew Allen, has been covered in the national and local press.

A double page feature appeared in the Oxford Mail while the Rector’s own write-up of the trip was printed in the Independent.

Rector Cairncross and Revd Allen visited the graves and memorials in Italy, France and Flanders of Exonians who died in the war, leaving a sprig of rosemary tied with ribbon in the College colours at each site in remembrance.

Their trip was covered extensively in the blog www.exetercollegewargraves.com.
