Refurbished GCR opens

The GCR has reopened and is being enjoyed by students following its refurbishment. The GCR was redecorated and given new furniture thanks to the 2012 Leavers’ Gift, which the JCR voted should be used to pay for the refurbishment and to support student welfare.

£1,621 was donated by 2012’s leavers, and this was matched by two generous alumni. As well as refurbishing the GCR, the money has enabled the College to pay for its nurse, Sarah Dragonetti, to work more hours each week in College so that she can offer counselling to students at times of difficulty or stress.
