Sir Ivor Crewe (1963, PPE) appointed to Government’s Post-18 Education Review Panel

Exeter alumnus and Master of University College Sir Ivor Crewe (1963, PPE) has been appointed to the Government’s Post-18 Education Review Panel, which was announced as part of a wide-ranging review by Prime Minister Theresa May on 19 February.

The review will consider ways to ensure more people have a better choice of both high quality technical and academic options. Announcing the review, Theresa May promised it would look at “the whole post-18 education sector in the round, breaking down false boundaries between further and higher education, to create a system which is truly joined up.”

Philip Augar, former non-executive director of the Department for Education, will chair the independent panel. His advisors will be Sir Ivor alongside:

  • Bev Robinson – Principal of Blackpool and The Fylde College
  • Edward Peck – Vice-Chancellor of Nottingham Trent University
  • Alison Wolf – a cross-bench peer in the House of Lords
  • Jacqueline De Rojas – President of techUK and the chair of the Digital Leaders board

Further details of the review launch can be found at gov.uk.
