Top chefs celebrate children’s literature at Exeter College

The new series of BBC Two’s Great British Menu begins on Wednesday 18 March, with the season finale a four-course meal prepared by some of Britain’s finest chefs and served in Exeter College’s Jacobean dining hall.

In this series of Great British Menu, 32 chefs from across eight regions of Britain will compete for the chance to prepare a starter, fish course, main or dessert at the banquet. Every dish is inspired by and celebrates British children’s literature, making Exeter College a perfect setting for the finale, with popular children’s authors such as Sir Philip Pullman, Lady Flora McDonnell and JRR Tolkien having lived and studied here.

The series begins at 8 pm on Wednesday 18 March on BBC Two and the season finale is expected to air around 15 May. Find out more about Great British Menu here.
