Trailblazer of modern film studies publishes latest book
Victor Perkins (1957, Modern History), one of the trailblazers of film studies, has published his latest book, La Règle du jeu.
La Règle du jeu was the first and is arguably still the finest of all the films that we see in a director’s cut. Victor Perkins traces the movie’s fortunes from the time of its production, offering a nuanced account that explores its shifting moods, the depth of its themes and the uniqueness of its style.
