Exeter has been highlighting the importance of the living world since at least 2007, when the Fellows’ Garden saw the British launch of the Billion Tree Campaign.  We have recently been implementing further improvements for biodiversity on our sites, with a particular focus on the sports ground.

We are currently also working towards establishing a baseline of biodiversity across our wider estate. This will allow the College to assess opportunities for improvement and support the living world. Part of this estate includes approximately 12 hectares of woodland and six hectares of grassland, including a site of special scientific interest (SSSI), which the College manages responsibly.
