The inside perspective: Liv’s experience of working at Exeter College

I’ve worked at Exeter College for just short of four and a half years. I started in the role of Development Administrator and moved to the role of Fundraising Officer at the end of 2023.

In my current role, I am responsible for implementing the college’s regular giving strategy. This can range from supporting alumni in making a regular gift, to organising giving days and telethons. It’s hugely rewarding to see money raised in the Development Office being used to benefit both current and future students, either through building works such as the Library or creating opportunities through scholarships. I’m really enjoying how varied my new role is and feel like I am learning a lot.

The community at Exeter College is so welcoming and lovely to be a part of. I love working in such a historic place, leaving work and seeing the Chapel lit up feels magical. To then go through the Broad Street gate with your giant key feels like something out of a story book and definitely lifts the average working day.
